My name is Jacinta I am a multi award winning  family and fine art photographer located in Melbourne, although my cliental is predominantly family and fine art photography, I do offer my time in my local area to a select few childcare centres as a way of getting to know the local families. Although childcare photos are very different to my family and fine art work, I do love capturing children in their natural environment doing what they love!

I will soon be capturing your little during their Early childhood learning, please find below some information to prepare you for their photos.

 

INFORMATION:

Our play-based photography style focuses on candid and a portrait photos that are natural and relaxed. Jacinta Studios takes approx several photographs of each child, ideally inside and outside (Weather permitting.) wherever they enjoy playing. With over 10 years experience in photographing countless children we understand every child is different.

Some children are extremely excited to see a new face and cannot wait to take them on a personal tour of their playground.  Others are shy or have special needs, or maybe they just have that one area of the play centre they are obsessed with and won’t leave from that area.  This is ok we work around each individual child, we capture them in their favourite places in a lifestyle approach.  This photography style brings out the best in each child so we can capture their personalities giving parents the opportunity to purchase precious memories of their child’s preschool years that can be enjoyed forever.

How many photos do you take?

We aim for around 6-10 photos of each child, every child is different, always more if we can.

Can I buy digital/soft copies?

Absolutely, parents have the option of buying single digital files or a collection. Individual files are $49 and collections of digital start at $120

Do you create traditional packages with prints and childcare albums?

The parents favourite products! It wouldn’t be pre school years without those would it? Keep an eye on our offer to add on a pre school albums when purchasing a collection of 5×7’prints or collection of digital files!

Can you fix my Childs rash/scratch/grotty nose etc?

Yes absolutely we can, retouching requests are charged at $12 per photo for scratches/rash etc etc

How much will it cost?

Individual prints: Start at $30

5×7 print pack of 6: $130

5×7 print pack of 10: $160

8×10 print pack of 6: $160

WHAT TO WEAR

Make sure your little ones are excited to wear an outfit they are proud to be wearing on photo day, worst thing you can do is force them into an outfit that they really don’t want to wear.  Early learning is all about the bright and colourful years isn’t it? So

  • Add some colour into your Childs photo day outfit
  • Choose bold colour tones eg (Blue/Rust/Magenta/Red/Burgundy/Emerald)
  • Make sure all clothing has no stains, marks holes
  • Steer away from any imagery, bold text on clothing that will take away from the focus of your child.
  • Get them involved in choosing their outfit, have them exited that this is going to be their “Photo day clothing”
  • Have your Childs hair styled the way you wish
  • Pack a spare change of clothes just in case
  • If they have a favourite teddy, and the centre will let you bring it along, bring it with you! We can incorporate this in their photos
  • Make sure little ones faces are all clean and noses wiped 😉

 

AFTER PHOTO DAY

What is this piece of paper I have been given by the centre?

Firstly (DO NOT LOOSE THIS) this piece of paper is very important, it is your personal QR code to pre register your details for your Childs personal gallery.   As soon as your gallery is live, you will then receive an email with access to place your order.

If you do not pre register, you will not have access to your Childs gallery, this is why this is very important.

We recommend scanning the QR code straight away and entering your details.  Then take this piece of paper home and stick it on the fridge for any reason you may need to register again.

How do I see my gallery? (as above)

Like mentioned above, the only way you will have access to your child’s gallery is by pre registering with the QR code you were sent home with on photo day.

Do I get a USB with digital copies?

Technology has come along way in the past few decades, seen as most computers don’t even have USB’s these days we provide all digital purchases via download only, which you can save and backup to any number of devices

How do I pay?

Easy, once you have received your email that your Childs gallery is live, you simply log in, add which items you wish to purchase in your cart.  Fill in the details and check out.  It really is that simple. Whether you would just like a few photos a whole range, to the lot! The choice is yours!

How long will my order take?

All print/product/album orders will be delivered to your early learning centre within 4-6 weeks after orders close

Digital delivery: If not instant within 24hrs you will have an email in your inbox for instant download

Delivery:

Free delivery is offered to all orders that are placed before our order cut off date.  Orders are placed as a whole after the final ordering window is closed.  You will have a reminder up in your early learning centre to remind you of the countdown.

I forgot to place my order:

For all orders that wish to be placed after the cut off, there is a $50 fee to re open your gallery, only digital orders can now be placed after cut off.
